  • Membrane assessment and replacement when needed
  • Tank, faucet, flow and connection checks
  • Feed-water and treated-water TDS comparison where useful

Considering repair versus replacement? Explore our water softener systems, whole-home water filtration and Reverse Osmosis drinking-water systems after we review the condition of your existing equipment.

Illustrations explain equipment categories; they do not depict a specific model or the layout of every system.

Testing follows the treatment goal. Hardness testing evaluates softening; TDS can help assess Reverse Osmosis performance. Neither alone proves that water is free of contaminants. We can arrange targeted laboratory water testing when you need answers about specific substances.

The right replacement matters

Water softener resin & filtration media replacement

Replacing a cartridge and replacing the media inside a treatment tank are different jobs. Element can evaluate both, including water-softener resin and appropriate filtration media.

We review the tank, valve, media type, treatment objective and service history. The replacement must fit the system’s design—not just the tank’s size.

Some equipment needs a filter change. Other equipment needs troubleshooting, media replacement or a discussion about whether repair makes sense. You get an explanation based on your system.

Signs your water treatment system needs service

Hard water has returned

New spots or scale can be a reason to check softener performance. We test hardness and inspect regeneration, salt delivery and controls before deciding whether water softener repair or resin replacement is appropriate.

Flow or pressure has dropped

A slow drinking-water faucet or a change in flow may involve filters, a membrane, tank pressure or another restriction. We check the system and its service history to narrow down the cause.

The system behaves differently

Leaks, error codes, unusual salt use or repeated regeneration deserve a closer look. Send a photo of the equipment and display, plus a description of what changed.

Manufacturer care instructions matter. For example, Pentair’s Fleck SXT owner’s manual covers brine-tank care, regeneration and when to contact a water treatment professional. Your model may have different requirements.

Dealer-installed. Store-bought. Installed yourself.

Service for Culligan, EcoWater, iSpring and other brands

You can contact Element even if another company sold or installed your equipment. Send the brand, model number and a photo so we can check the service requirements and compatible parts.

Dealer-installed systems

Culligan · EcoWater · Kinetico · RainSoft

Ask about softener, filtration and drinking-water service. We verify the particular model and parts access before confirming the work.

Online & retail equipment

iSpring · APEC · Frizzlife · Waterdrop · GE · Whirlpool · A. O. Smith

Get help identifying cartridges, scheduling filter changes or checking a system you bought online or inherited with your home.

Valves & filtration platforms

Pentair / Fleck · Clack · Autotrol · Watts · Pentek · Everpure

A valve or filter-platform name can be as useful as the logo on the tank, especially for assembled and commercial equipment.

Element provides independent service. Brand names identify equipment and do not imply manufacturer authorization or affiliation. Service scope depends on the model, condition, parts availability and any applicable warranty requirements. Don’t see your brand? Send us the system details.

A team that remembers your system

Maintenance reminders backed by your equipment history

Element’s office team and software keep a customer profile with service history, installation photos and videos, notes and any specific agreements. Automatic maintenance reminders help keep the next service visit on your radar.

After reviewing the system and your needs, we can offer an ongoing service plan with an appropriate schedule. Filters, membranes and media do not all share the same replacement interval.

Pricing follows the equipment and the work

Service pricing depends on the system, replacement filters or media, required parts and the time needed. Share your equipment details first so we can explain the next step and the cost of the proposed service.

Answers before you book

Water softener repair & filter service FAQs

Can Element service a system another company installed?

Yes. We accept residential and commercial service inquiries for other brands, including dealer-installed, retail and DIY equipment. Send the model and photos so we can confirm the service scope and compatible parts.

Can you service Culligan, EcoWater or iSpring equipment?

Yes, you can contact us about these brands. We provide independent service and check the exact model, condition and parts requirements first. We do not claim to be their authorized dealer or warranty provider.

How often should my water filters be changed?

Follow the exact system’s instructions and rated capacity, then account for water conditions and use. Sediment cartridges, carbon filters, specialty cartridges and Reverse Osmosis membranes can have different schedules. We review your system rather than apply one interval to every filter.

Can you replace resin or filtration media instead of the whole system?

Yes, where appropriate. We assess the tank, valve, media type and equipment condition before recommending resin or filtration-media replacement. We explain whether servicing the existing system makes sense.

Why is my softener no longer making soft water?

Possible causes include salt or brine-system problems, settings, valve issues or resin condition. A hardness check and equipment assessment help identify the cause; a TDS meter alone cannot diagnose water-softener performance.

Can you test whether my Reverse Osmosis system is working?

We can check flow, inspect the equipment and compare feed-water and treated-water TDS where appropriate. TDS does not identify individual contaminants, and remineralization changes the treated-water reading. Specific contaminant concerns may need laboratory testing.

Do you offer commercial filter changes and maintenance?

Yes. We service commercial softening, filtration and Reverse Osmosis equipment. Send model information, water-use requirements and any issues so we can confirm parts and the appropriate service scope.

How much does water softener repair or filter service cost in Utah?

Water softener repair and filter service pricing depends on the model, diagnosis, replacement filters or media, parts and labor time. Send a photo and model number so we can explain the next step. We offer automatic maintenance reminders and can discuss a service plan after reviewing your equipment and needs.
