Element commercial water treatment equipment with filtration vessels and storage tanks

Built around the job

Three technologies.
The right combination for you.

A bigger filter is not automatically a better answer. Start with the water coming in, the quality you need coming out and how much your operation uses at once.

Commercial water softening

Reduce calcium and magnesium hardness that can contribute to scale. Capacity, regeneration settings and peak flow matter as much as tank size.

Commercial water filtration

Target the actual concern: sediment, chlorine taste and odor, or other identified substances. Media selection and contact time depend on your water and application.

Commercial reverse osmosis

Use membrane separation when lower dissolved solids are needed. Pretreatment, production rate, storage, delivery pressure and concentrate drainage belong in the plan.

Protect the equipment behind the business

Commercial softeners that fit your workload.

Hot-water demand, laundry cycles, dishwashing and production schedules do not all peak at the same time. We look at hardness, daily use and peak demand before recommending a softener.

Where continuous softened water is important, discuss alternating-tank configurations and service access. We also review salt use, regeneration water and available drain connections so the system makes sense beyond installation day.

What the research tells us

Small water problems.
Real operating consequences.

>180 mg/L

Classified as very hard

USGS classifies water above 180 mg/L hardness as calcium carbonate as very hard. That is a hardness measurement, not a TDS reading or a safety verdict.

Scale

An unwanted insulating layer

The U.S. Department of Energy explains that deposits on boiler heat-transfer surfaces impede heat transfer. Pretreatment is one part of a broader boiler-water management program.

RO needs a complete water plan

Reverse osmosis produces treated water and a concentrate stream. Evaluate water use and disposal along with the quality and volume your business needs.

These are general treatment principles, not measured savings or performance results from an Element installation.

From source water to the point of use

Commercial RO is more than a membrane.

The entire system has to keep up. Element considers pretreatment, output requirements, storage and distribution together, whether you need drinking water, rinse water or water for a defined process.

Simplified treatment concept. Membrane capacity, tank size, treatment sequence and controls vary by application.
01Prepare

Choose pretreatment based on feed-water chemistry and membrane requirements.

02Separate

Pressure drives water through a membrane while a separate concentrate stream carries rejected substances away.

03Store & deliver

Match usable storage and delivery pressure to peak demand where storage is needed.

04Verify & maintain

Check the agreed water-quality targets and plan cartridge, membrane and equipment service.

RO performance is specific to the selected membrane, water and operating conditions. A general RO system is not automatically suitable for sterile, dialysis or pharmaceutical-grade applications.

Filtration with a purpose

Treat what matters.
Where it matters.

Some businesses need treatment at the building inlet. Others need a dedicated system for an ice machine, beverage station or production line. We help separate those needs before recommending equipment.

Carbon has an important role, but it does not solve every water concern. Sediment filtration, selected media, softening and RO can perform different jobs within the same treatment plan.

Industries & applications

Different businesses.
Different water requirements.

These are common places where commercial treatment is used. Tell us about your application so we can confirm the right equipment and scope.

Restaurants, cafés & bakeries

Coffee, beverages, ice, cooking and dishwashing equipment.

Hotels, resorts & lodging

Guest water, hot-water equipment, kitchens and laundry.

Laundromats & commercial laundries

Hardness control and treatment matched to wash equipment.

Car washes & auto detailing

Softening and lower-TDS water for selected rinse applications.

Offices, retail & grocery stores

Drinking-water stations, food-service equipment and ice.

Schools, campuses & public facilities

Cafeterias, drinking water and building equipment.

Apartments & property management

Shared water systems, central hot water and service planning.

Salons, spas & fitness facilities

Laundry, showers and equipment-specific water needs.

Food & beverage production

Ingredient and cleaning water matched to documented process requirements.

Manufacturing & metal finishing

Rinse and process water with defined quality targets.

Boilers & facility utilities

Makeup-water pretreatment coordinated with equipment requirements.

Healthcare, laboratories & specialist uses

Facilities can have strict water specifications. Suitability and any required validation must be established before quoting.

Also ask about agricultural, greenhouse, ice-making and other specialty applications. An industry listing is not a claim of certification or approval for a regulated use.

Measure first

Commercial lab water testing.
A clearer starting point.

Element can arrange laboratory water testing to help identify your treatment needs. We select the test panel around your water source, concerns and equipment specifications, then use the results to guide recommendations.

Define the question

Share your water source, current equipment, symptoms and required output quality. Existing reports can help identify what needs further testing.

Choose the measurements

Depending on the application, testing may include hardness, alkalinity, pH, dissolved solids, iron, manganese or targeted contaminants. Microbiological concerns require appropriate sampling and lab methods.

Turn results into a plan

Compare results with the intended use and equipment limits. Agree on treatment goals, commissioning checks and any follow-up testing.

No single test measures everything in water. Lab scope, sampling requirements and costs are confirmed before testing. A handheld TDS meter does not identify individual contaminants.

Discuss Lab Testing

Already have a system?

We can service it.
Even if we didn’t install it.

You do not have to start over to get support. Element can assess and maintain compatible commercial softeners, filters and RO systems from other providers.

Find the cause

Review low flow, unexpected hardness, taste changes, leaks, alarms or declining RO output.

Service the equipment

Discuss filter and media replacement, softener controls and regeneration, and membrane or component service as appropriate.

Plan the next visit

Build a maintenance plan around water quality, usage, manufacturer instructions and parts availability.

Send the make, model, serial number, system photos and service history when available. We will confirm serviceability and parts access before committing to the work.

Why choose Element

Local people.
Long-term accountability.

Element is a family-owned Utah business. Colton Halladay and Jimmy Anderson believe the relationship should continue long after the equipment is installed.

A recommendation with a reason

Water results, peak flow and operating needs guide the conversation. Our ongoing education and review of treatment research help us evaluate suitable technologies and their limits. We explain what each stage contributes to your application.

Installation is part of the product

Space, plumbing, power, drainage and future service access all belong in the planning process.

Support beyond the sale

Come to us for questions, replacement filters and system service. We can also evaluate equipment installed by another company.

Commercial water treatment FAQs

How much does a commercial water treatment system cost?

Cost depends on water chemistry, required output, peak flow, equipment, plumbing and electrical work, and service needs. Share your application and existing reports for a project-specific quote.

Do we need a softener, filtration or reverse osmosis?

That depends on the problem. A softener targets hardness. Filtration targets selected particles or substances. RO reduces dissolved substances according to the membrane and operating conditions. Some projects combine them.

Can you maintain another brand’s equipment?

Yes, we can assess and service compatible systems installed by other companies. The model, parts availability, condition and application determine the work we can offer.

Can lab testing tell us exactly which system to buy?

A targeted lab panel provides evidence for the design. We also need to understand flow, operating hours, intended use and equipment specifications. Test results alone do not define the entire system.

Will treatment eliminate downtime or guarantee savings?

No system can guarantee that. Properly selected and maintained treatment can address water-related problems, but results and costs depend on your facility and operating conditions.
