How hard is the water in Eagle Mountain?
Element has commonly measured 15–20 grains per gallon (GPG) near Eagle Mountain’s City Center during water-testing visits. Our team has also observed readings above 30 GPG in other parts of Eagle Mountain, including historical visits a few years ago around the time new wells opened. These observations do not establish that the wells caused those readings.
These are Element’s field observations, not a citywide average or a prediction for your address today. We test your home’s current water before recommending capacity and settings.
Eagle Mountain City describes a supply drawn from groundwater and Central Utah Water Conservancy District water, with sources used at different times of year. That makes a current measurement at your tap more useful for system setup than a single general number.
Read Eagle Mountain’s water-quality information and annual reports. Hardness describes mineral content; it does not by itself show whether water is safe.
15–20 GPG
Measured locally. Sized individually.
Your household’s daily water use and busiest shower, laundry and dishwasher periods matter alongside hardness. A bigger tank is not a substitute for the right capacity, flow and regeneration settings.

What soft water can change at home
Less new mineral buildup
Reducing calcium and magnesium hardness helps limit new hardness-related scale on fixtures and in water-heating equipment. Existing scale or damaged equipment may need separate cleaning or service.
Easier everyday cleaning
Less hardness can mean less soap scum and mineral spotting. Other dissolved substances, detergent and drying conditions still affect the result; softening does not guarantee spot-free glass.
A fit for your household
We consider hardness, household demand, peak flow and the installation space, then explain the proposed system and expected salt and regeneration-water use.

A Pinnacle+ installation in Eagle Mountain

One home. Several treatment goals.
This homeowner chose Element’s Pinnacle+ five-stage whole-home filtration and softening system with UV treatment. The photos and short walkthrough show different views of the same installation, shared with permission.
The homeowner wanted help understanding treatment options and a local team to support the system. Their selected package also included whole-home air purification, a separate service from water treatment.
A combined installation does not mean every home needs every stage. Your Water Pro explains what each proposed component does, its specifications and its maintenance requirements.
Explore whole-home filtration if your goals go beyond hardness.
Softening, filtration and UV do different jobs
A water softener targets hardness minerals. It does not disinfect water or remove all contaminants.
Filtration is selected for specific treatment goals. Chlorine, taste, odor and other reduction claims depend on the installed media, equipment specifications, operating conditions and maintenance.
UV is a separate treatment stage. Its performance depends on system specifications, water clarity, flow, power and maintenance. It does not soften water or remove dissolved chemicals.
We discuss each option separately so you can choose softening alone or a combination that fits your water and priorities.

From your free water test to installation day
1. Meet your Water Pro
We test your water, review your concerns and explain the results. We look at the installation area and recommend options for your household, with time for questions.
2. Review your plan
Compare equipment, capacity, plumbing work and maintenance. Your quote explains the installation scope, applicable warranty and written satisfaction-guarantee terms before you decide.
3. Schedule your plumber
Once you select a system, we schedule the plumbing work. Next-day installation may be available; timing depends on availability, equipment and the work your home needs.

Prepare your home for a smooth installation
Tell us whether this is a first installation or replacement. Photos of the main water line, existing softener loop, nearby drain and electrical outlet help us understand the work. We also need room for the brine tank, salt refills, bypass access and future service.
Your plumber reviews the connections, drainage and equipment placement for the home. Ask which fixtures will receive softened water and whether outdoor irrigation or other lines should remain separate.
Support after installation
Your system will need salt checks and care according to its instructions. Any filter cartridges or UV components have separate maintenance schedules. Element provides long-term service and support, so you have a local team to contact if hardness returns, a leak develops or operation changes.
See your water test. Understand what it means.
Your free Water Pro visit starts with information, not a one-size-fits-all package. We explain hardness separately from chlorine and total dissolved solids (TDS), then connect the results to your treatment goals.
The pictured demonstration compares water samples. Color alone does not establish water safety, identify every substance or prove a particular system’s performance. A TDS reading is not a hardness measurement or a comprehensive contaminant test. Specific health or contaminant concerns may require targeted testing by a qualified laboratory.

Eagle Mountain water-softener questions
What size water softener do I need?
We use your measured hardness, daily water demand, peak flow and available space to recommend capacity and settings. The 15–20 GPG readings Element has observed locally are background, not a substitute for testing your address.
How much does water-softener installation cost?
Equipment, capacity, existing plumbing, drain access and any additional treatment affect the quote. Request a free in-home assessment for a recommendation and a written scope you can compare. You can also explore our Utah water-softener cost guide.
Can you install my softener the next day?
Potentially. Ask about current openings during your Water Pro visit. Next-day installation depends on the schedule, equipment availability and the plumbing work needed; it is not guaranteed.
Does a water softener remove chlorine or disinfect my water?
A standard softener targets calcium and magnesium hardness. Chlorine reduction and disinfection require suitable separate treatment. Our Pinnacle+ project photos show a combined installation, not the capability of a softener alone.
What warranty and satisfaction guarantee are available?
Element offers 10–15-year warranty options depending on the selected system, plus a 15-day satisfaction / money-back guarantee subject to written terms. Ask which components, labor, exclusions and start dates apply before signing.
Will softened water be salt-free or free of dissolved solids?
A sodium-based ion-exchange softener adds sodium as it removes hardness minerals; it does not remove all dissolved solids. If sodium intake or drinking-water treatment is a concern, discuss your needs and appropriate treatment specifications with the team.
Can you help with an existing softener?
Tell us the model, age and symptoms, such as hardness returning, leaks or unusual salt use. We can discuss service or replacement options and how any existing filtration fits the plan.
